Demand Response Transit

What is Demand-Response Transit?

Here & There Transit operates "demand response" service throughout Barbour County whereby you can reserve travel to and from your home to any destination within the county. Demand response reservations are required at least the day before travel. Customers who require demand response service for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) are encouraged to schedule their ride as soon as they acquire appointment dates and times.

Scheduling, Pick-up and Cancellation Policies

  • Prior day trip reservations are required for all demand-responsive and Non-Emergency Medical trips.
  • Customers are asked to schedule Non-Emergency Medical trips as soon as they know their appointment times and dates.
  • Cancellation of any trip must be done at least 2 hours prior to scheduled pick-up.
  • Demand-Response and Non-Emergency Medical rescheduling will be based on the next available time.
  • For medical trip appointments, please contact the dispatcher at 304-457-1818 for the sliding scale fare.
  • Please be ready at least 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. If you need assistance boarding or exiting the bus, ask the driver for help. Please have exact fare available for your trip.
